Technical Instructor (News and Media)
Solent University is looking for an enthusiastic Technician Instructor to join our journalism team, working directly with our students in supporting and motivating them, including during our video and audio broadcasts on news days, and related newsroom operations. The successful post holder will teach across our journalism courses, which are currently BA (Hons) Sports Journalism and MA Sports Broadcast Journalism.

The role of the Technician Instructor is to provide high-quality technical instruction and to oversee and assist with the operation of technical equipment, specialist software and specialist facilities. This role will have an emphasis on delivering sports journalism courses so knowledge and experience of broadcast equipment, tv and radio studios operation, and related editing software, is required.
Candidates must be passionate about supporting and motivating our students. You must be able to communicate effectively with our learners and work well in a team environment.
