The Student Success Directorate supports students through every step of their journey, working with colleagues in Schools and other professional services teams to empower our students to achieve their potential. We support student retention and success through the delivery of personalised support, employability, and wellbeing services, and working with Solent Students’ Union to ensure our students’ voices are heard and their needs are met, resulting in improved student satisfaction and graduate outcomes.

As Student Casework & Project Manager you will develop and implement effective processes for managing complex, and often critical student casework, improving data quality and management and reporting for Student Success, and responding to and adopting the student-related best practice and compliance requirements set out by statutory and regulatory bodies such as the Office for Students (OfS), Universities UK (UUK), Office of the Independent Adjudicator (OIA) and AdvanceHE. You will lead, manage and oversee the casework relating to students whose fitness to study is of significant concern. This involves reviewing and evaluating all relevant evidence and drafting relevant paperwork, which will include clinical, legal and regulatory matters and considering options and risks for the student and the University community. You will also lead on proactive interventions to support student wellbeing by designing and delivering training for staff and students that empowers students to manage their mental health and wellbeing, integrating practices into the curriculum, and tailoring training sessions for diverse student groups.

We are looking for an outstanding individual with significant experience of managing complex casework in a clinical or education setting, excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and the drive to improve the student experience.

Further details regarding the role and responsibilities can be found in the job description. For any queries about the role, please contact Tania Struetzel, Director of Student Success on tania.struetzel@solent.ac.uk.
